ReplyDeleteThe landscape paintings seem to work in the thumbnail view... but I guess you need to focus more on getting the details right.
The first painting : The the brush you used for the grass is linear, there is no variation. Try to see the BRUSH SETTING, and add some angle jitter, size jitter. Through this the brush will give you some good random variation. Also do some manual strokes on areas to add original touch.
Another thing to look out for is values. A good way to check it out is to make the image black and white. Then you can see how well the darks and the lights of the image are balance in the composition. Whether the light source is apparent, if the shadows are in the right place and so on. Give it a shot.
Try to look at some video tutorials in youtube and see how they make their paintings. You can learn a lot by just looking/reading/hearing other people's ideas. Here are some I recommend:

The first painting there is from my second semester so :P.....i ve improved from that I hope :D......N I was really unsure of what videos to watch n not coz of the level of difficulty or advancement.....I think I m just afraid to take the plunge n try coz I ll be mortified if the output is not good..... I will keep trying!! thank you so much!! :)
